Joe Freeman
President & Founder
Joe launched Adolos Asset Management in August 2021 after a successful 30-year career with Wachovia/Wells Fargo. Beginning as a trust officer, Joe wore many hats during his career, which provided insight into what successful money management requires. For the majority of his career, he focused on the ultra-high net worth segment.

Roles such as relationship manager, regional managing director, and Head of Family Office allowed him to drive client-focused strategies. His favorite role was Investment Strategist, where he helped families achieve their financial goals through plan-based investment strategies. The investment strategist role is where Joe’s creativity, insight, responsibility, and dedication flourished.

Joe has a BS in Accounting, an MBA, and carries the CFP and CTFA designations. He has authored many articles for publications such as Family Office Magazine, Wealth Management.com, and Family Wealth Report. Joe is a frequent public speaker on the nuances of investing, dynamics of family offices, and the ever-changing economy.

Joe’s desire to serve the greater good was a motivating force behind his leadership of the Diversity and Inclusion Council at Wells Fargo. Looking to the needs of his local community, he joined the board of directors at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina and the Jerry Long YMCA in Clemmons, NC. His investment management, accounting, and professional skills were enlisted by the Finance Committee for the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

He and his wife Sue live on a 10-acre hobby farm outside of Winston-Salem and enjoy hiking, traveling, and cooking. Their two adult daughters continue to pursue careers in medicine.
